About Lloyd

Business Background

While working as a young Industrial Engineer fresh out of college, Lloyd Wolf founded Wolf Consulting in 1989 as a part-time side business – writing custom database programs for several local businesses. A few years later, Lloyd decided to further spread his entrepreneurial wings and increased his attention to the business from part-time to full-time. As they say, he never looked back.

The business added computer networking to its services, and in the decades that followed, Lloyd led the company from being a one-man show to becoming a leading provider of computer support and cloud services for small and mid-size businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh area. With the help of great employees and industry peers, the company consistently grew in clients, staff members, revenue and profitability. The company was (and still is) consistently recognized as one of the top MSPs world-wide and a Best Place to Work in Western Pennsylvania.

In December 2017, Lloyd sold the business to Evergreen Services Group – a San Francisco-based private equity firm with a People First mindset. He stayed on as CEO and helped transition in a new leader. In the spring of 2019, the company celebrated its 30th-year anniversary and Lloyd celebrated his retirement from the company.

About Entrepreneurship, Peer Groups and EOS®

During the 30 years with his IT business, Lloyd Wolf learned and performed every major business function. He also experienced all aspects of entrepreneurship – including some nice successes, as well as his share of mistakes, setbacks, sleepless nights and crazy long work weeks. He also received many blessings along the way.

One blessing came in 2010 when he found and joined HTG Peer Groups (now known as IT Nation Evolve Peer Groups) where he learned the power of peer groups and the open & honest sharing of successes, failures and best practices – in both business and in life  – with fellow entrepreneurs.

Another blessing came in 2015 when a trusted business friend gave him the book Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business© by Gino Wickman and introduced him to EOS® (the Entrepreneurial Operating System®). Lloyd and his leadership team were excited by what they read, so they hired an EOS Implementer® and began their EOS journey. They successfully used the EOS concepts and tools for the last 3+ years Lloyd was running that business, and they still use EOS today.

Lloyd loves what EOS did for his own business and the positive impact it had on him, his leadership team and the entire company. And he has a passion for helping entrepreneurs and leadership teams achieve their goals and get more of what they want from their business. So Lloyd completed his training and became a Professional EOS Implementer®. He now works with businesses located in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania – as a teacher, facilitator and coach – to help them successfully implement EOS in their organizations.
